Quick, what do Phil Collins, Dave Grohl, Karen Carpenter, and Peter Furler all have in common? If you answered they all got out from behind the drum kit to be a front man, you are correct!
Without a doubt, moving from behind a drum kt to the front of the stage is a scary move, even for the most versatile musician. But it's one that seems to pay off for many drummers in the music industry. And now, you can add Brandon Estelle to that list. The former Superchick has made the role-change to bring us the up-and-comig rock/power pop band Starlit Platoon. Formed in the summer of 2005, Starlit Platoon has become an outlet off Estelle's songwriting and soulful vocals.
Starlit Platoon has shared the stage not only with Superchick, but also the likes of Jeremy Camp and Building 429, and will be playing on the Van's Warped Tour stop in Kansas this August This Kansas City-based band has their label debut coming out this fall on Avista/Sony/BMG. Starlit Platoon is accepting dates starting immediately.
