I used to think that Christian music was all hymns and Southern Gospel. Then in 1993, my friend, David, took me to see Rachel Rachel and WhiteHeart. Boy did that open my eyes to what Contemporary Christian Music could be.

I lived in Southeast Iowa. At that time there was not any Christian radio stations that penetrated that area. Several concerned parents and I formed Freedom Quest Promotions to bring in Christian concerts. At this point in time I thought I was saved. I grew up in church, but never heard that a personal relationship with Jesus was needed. Hearing this music and testimonies struck a chord in me. The Holy Spirit tugged at my heart. I became saved as a result of being involved in Contemporary Christian Music. During the next ten years, I helped promote 35 Christian Concerts. Then in 2001 an American Family Radio station opened in our area. The general manager and I became friends and he asked me to do some radio shows. For 2 ½ years, I was a radio DJ!

I have a huge passion for Christian music. I have seen and felt the transforming power of music with a message. In June of 2004, the Lord gave my wife Kathy and I the desire of our hearts. We moved to Nashville, TN. In November 2004 through an encounter that only God could arrange, I started booking concerts and ministry opportunities for SONICFLOOd. Since then the Lord has brought several more artists for me to work with. The Covenant Artist Agency was born!
